Community Helpers Workshop

After a nomination process by CCHS students, roughly 30 students were identified by their peers as being an especially helpful, caring and supportive member of the school.  We know that being a helper isn't always easy, however, and even with the best intentions, it can be hard for young people to support their friends when they need help.  On October 2 and 3, Lethbridge Family Services Outreach and Education team came to County Central to host a Community Helpers Workshop.  The focus of this training was skill development and resource awareness on a wide variety of topics facing youth.  It was a productive and worthwhile couple of days for all involved.
